Bushwhacked is tucked away in the peaceful hills of Barberton and has a unique selection of self-catering accommodation and camping. It is a 40 minute drive south of Nelspruit and is a self-catering home away from home ideal for wildlife loving people. There are good walks from site and excellent birding (we have and lots of wildlife reference books). Identify the local birdlife by sound and sight as there are a lot of lowveld species in Barberton.
We also have an eco-friendly campsite, with solar heated water and solar lights, and we recycle waste. There are no electric points, but you can recharge your phone and get FREE WIFI (you can however connect to electricity at an extra fee). The campsite is not suitable for caravans as it is a series of terraces.
Bushwhacked is only a 1 hour drive from the Kruger Park where you can view the Big Five. The famous world Heritage Site 'The Geotrail' is on our doorstep, with stunning drives and scenery in the mountains, and is one of the best places in the world for Geologists to see some of the oldest rocks in the world.
